When installing an Integration Glue app you may receive the following error from HubSpot:

hubspot-install-app-could-complete-the-connection-error

When you attempt to connect an integration to HubSpot, you may encounter a Request for Integration Permissions error. These errors occur because certain integrations require specific user roles and/or specific account-wide tools in order to connect to HubSpot.

You can learn more about this error on the HubSpot Knowledge Base:

This error is caused by not having the App Marketplace access permission enabled on your HubSpot account.

To fix... either

  • Provide a user who has this permission access to your MyGlue account and ask them to install the app

or

  • Ask your HubSpot portal administrator to update your user permissions to allow the Super Admin permission

To update permissions for a user with custom permissions...

Your HubSpot user must have the Add and edit users permission enabled on your portal to complete these steps.

If granting the user with these permissions does not work you will need to give them Super Admin permissions to resolve the error.

  1. In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon (cog) in the main navigation bar
  2. In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Users & Teams
  3. Find the user to update
  4. Mouse over the user and click the Edit permissions button
  5. Select Settings access under the Account section
  6. Switch the App Marketplace access toggle to ON
  7. Click the Save button
