Docusign Setup: Create Docusign Properties

Guidance on setting up standard properties in HubSpot for the Docusign integration, including creating properties for custom objects and optimising the user experience for CRM users.

Standard Properties

By default installing the app will create required properties against Contacts, Companies, Tickets and Deals in your HubSpot Portal.

However, if you want to add properties to Custom Objects you will need to either manually create these or create a one-off Workflow to create them automatically.

  1. Create a new Workflow from the Object you want to send Docusign documents from
  2. Add the Create Required Docusign Properties action
    Note: This action does not require any configuration
  3. Review and publish the Workflow
  4. Manually enroll any record from the Object into the Workflow
  5. This will create all of the required properties against the Object the Workflow is run on
  6. You can archive the Workflow, once this is run

    • Envelope ID
    • Envelope URL
    • Last DocuSign webhook
    • Last Envelope Docusign Webhook Status
    • Last Recipient Docusign Webhook Status
    • Name of Recipient from Last Docusign Webhook
    • Send for eSign
    • Signed Emails
  • Docusign Tokens (Group)
    • Signatory 1 Name
    • Signatory 1 Email
    • Signatory 2 Name
    • Signatory 2 Email
    • Signatory 3 Name
    • Signatory 3 Email
    • Signatory 4 Name
