DocMergy: Word Dynamic Image Tokens (Contact and Deal Examples)

Learn how to use image placeholders in Word for easy replacement with dynamic images.

Insert a placeholder image

  1. Click the Insert tab on the ribbon
  2. Click Pictures 
  3. Click your relevant option. 
  4. Select the image you would like to use

Editing Image Alt Text

  1.  Right Click on Image
  2. Click View Alt Text button
  3. Put your token in.
    1. eg. {{ object.internal_property_name }}
    2. The value within this property should be a public URL to a image. That might be hosted on HubSpot or a different file hosting provider. 
  4. Click OK button

Limitations 

  • Image scale will not change to suit the new image. It will keep the aspect ratio of the placeholder image. 
    • A different scale of image (Hight or width) will be stretched to fit the size of the placeholder image 

 

Contact Example

    • Dynamic images use a placeholder but will take an image URL associated with the enrolled object

    Eg. Display Profile Picture

    • With the custom property you made for the profile picture, put the token in the ALT text

    Deal Example 

    • Dynamic images use a placeholder but will take an image URL on the custom property on the enrolled object

    Eg. Display Product Picture

    • With the custom property you made for the product image, put the token in the ALT text as seen below, this allows it to change dynamically

    Images in Google Apps

    • Google DocMergy does not currently support Dynamic Images.
