Part One: App overview + welcome video steps, structure and some editing and DaVinci Tips
Part Two: Demo Vids (eg. API demo)
Step

I recorded the workflow example first (setting up the action and showing what it does on HubSpot)
-
I recorded the workflow example first (setting up the action and showing what it does on HubSpot)
-
Create use case slides on PowerPoint
-
Insert Glue gif at end and beginning of video
-
Write script for video
-
I used Gemini image fx for creating images for first half of video with the prompt like "The Simpsons cartoon theme, holding phone with a blank white screen"
-
Take actual screen recordings or screenshots from HubSpot
-
Insert the screenshots into image fx images to make it look like a Simpson is using HubSpot (this part is the most time consuming, trying to get the right generated image)
-
Review it, just do a render and watch it to see if there are any visual errors, any missed cuts or delayed visuals, then go back and fix
Step 1: Record the workflow example
Start by recording yourself setting up the action and showing what it does in HubSpot. This forms the core of your video content.
Step 2: Create use case slides in PowerPoint
Build 1 or 2 slides (6-10) examples that show a variety of different use cases. These can help with context and give structure to the beginning or middle of the video.
Step 3: Write the video script
In Google Docs write the video script (I put one I did for ChatGPT below as a template, you can put into ChatGPT "use this template but replace the content with this information" and get that from the marketplace listing on the apps page on Integration Glue
Step 4: Create images using Gemini Image FX
Use prompts like "The Simpsons cartoon theme, holding phone with a blank white screen” to generate themed visuals for the first half of the video, you can see this at the very bottom.
Step 5: Capture screen recordings or screenshots from HubSpot
Get real visuals from HubSpot to show the actual process, interface, or result of the workflow.
Step 6: Combine screenshots with AI-generated images
Insert HubSpot screenshots into the generated images to create the illusion that a Simpsons character is using HubSpot. (Note: This is the most time-consuming part, as it may take multiple tries to get the right image.)
Step 7: Insert the Glue GIF
Add the Integration Glue branded GIF at both the start and end of the video for branding consistency. (tips below)
Step 8: Review and test render
Do a rough render and watch it through. Check for visual errors, missed cuts, or delayed transitions. Make any needed adjustments before the final export.
Structure of demo video script example: Workflow AI (ChatGPT) main app overview + welcome intro part
The intro / outro Glue clips are 5 seconds
the first part of the intro explaining features and what the app does should be 40sec - 1 min, some apps are longer if they are more complez
The real visuals from HubSpot to show the actual process, interface, or result of the workflow can take 50 seconds - 3+ minutes, very dependent on the type of action you are showing or if its like DocMergy or DocuSign where there is a more complex set up process.
The Use case section can be 16-30 seconds, if doing two slides can optionally do 12 seconds each for 24. If doing one slide like the template script, it's around 16 seconds.
-
When doing the welcome video, the only part that changes is the intro, there's an example below but everything else stays the same, so when editing just clone the main video app and then replace the audio and clips to match

Tips
-
Less is more with effects: Don’t overdo visual effects—keep things clean for the best result.
-
Google Image FX can take time: Getting the right image might take dozens of tries, sometimes even over 100
-
ElevenLabs voice generation: It works very well works well but may still take a few attempts to get just right. Use Matt Washers voice (Aus)
-
Render in MP4: For compatibility and ease of use, make sure your final output is rendered in MP4 format, can have a play around with some of the others to see what it looks like .
-
Set your output folder for each project: When starting a new video project, don’t forget to update the output destination, DaVinci will default to the last location used.
-
Use the snap tool while editing: Turn on the magnet icon (snap lock) to easily align clips, audio, and images on the timeline, it makes editing much smoother.
-
To clone a timeline: click the home icon bottom right, then right click on the timeline you want to clone and click save as
-
Sync on-screen text with speech: When using text on screen, time each word to appear as it's being spoken—just like subtitles—for a smoother, more professional result.
-
Avoid distorted characters in AI images: Adding the phrase "No copyright" to your prompt will get the AI to make images without copyright, it takes a few goes but it will try its best to create non copy right material
-
Exclude characters in AI-generated images: If you want an image without any people or characters from a show/game, include "No characters" in your prompt.
-
Audio may sound broken during playback, but it’s fine: After rendering, audio might sound choppy or distorted during playback on the editing device. Don’t worry, once the video is exported and uploaded, the sound plays normally.
-
Extend a video using a still frame: If your audio runs longer than the video clip, split the final frame (ideally one with no movement), zoom in to 100%, then copy and paste it multiple times. This creates a still frame effect so the audio can finish without a sudden cut to black.
-
When importing media (such as clips or files) into DaVinci Resolve, always create a designated folder for that project and store all your media there. Do not move or delete any files from this folder after importing them.
DONT DELETE A FILE from your system after you've put it in to your timeline either it will also disappear
If you do, the files will go missing from your DaVinci timeline. Even if you've already rendered the project, DaVinci will show red slots where the missing files were, and your media will no longer appear in the library. If this happens, you either have to find the file in your system and put it back into the folder or you can search the media library for it, I recommend to put it back into the folder so everything is organised and together.
-
To import media I either go to the "Edit" tab or the "Media" tab at the bottom inside DaVinci and right click on the left hand side and then find the media I want to import
-
When creating an intro for any video use the "Logo_ready_withtext.gif" gif in the google drive
The sound droplet to use is "water-drop-clean-fx" which is also in the drive here
There also a folder called logos and brand videos --> Integration Glue | Brand Video (I only found this after I made all the videos) but there is wide screen branded intro clips.
What I found on DaVinci is to put in a solid colour generator with the Logo_ready_withtext.gif file as it isnt wide screen, so I just put it as white and layered it like seen below.
-
To change a project to a reel / tiktok sized resolution go to file > project settings > timeline resolution
-
To stack words into one clip so they appear in sync with the audio, as each word is spoken, you need to time the start of each text box to match the corresponding word in the audio. For example, below, the word “management” hasn’t appeared yet because it hasn’t been said. You’ll notice all the text boxes are slightly staggered at the start, but they all finish at the same time to create a smooth, unified appearance.
- To layer images, such as placing multiple HubSpot screenshots on top of a background image like an FX image, start by placing the main background image at the bottom. Then, stack the other elements (like screenshots) on top of it, similar to how text boxes or subtitles are layered in design tools.

Part Two: Demo Vids (eg. API demo)
You'll need to use the glue intro for these videos too (use it for all videos)
When creating an API demo video or a video with any sensitive information you need to block it out, on a video it can be quite tricky but you can zoom in so its frame by frame and can get the exact points to put in the solid colour generator. There's an example below of what my time line looked like after finishing, this was a geo coding API demo
Here's an example of blocking out some sensitive Integration Glue information,
